Introducing the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RX 5700 XT


A month ago we announced the launch of the PULSE RX 5700 series, and today we’re introducing one more addition to the SAPPHIRE family! The long-awaited SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RX 5700 XT graphics card is here, providing a new choice for gamers who are looking for reliability, high-end performance, and great design that suits any PC build.

NITRO-Charged Performance

The SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RX 5700 XT graphics card features 2560 stream processors with three clock settings, including a Boost clock of up to 2010 MHz and a Game clock of 1905 MHz. The card is equipped with 8GB of GDDR6 high-speed memory clocked at 14 GBps Effective and delivers twice the bandwidth with PCI Express 4.0 support. With an 8 + 1 + 2 Phase DigitalPower Design, the NITRO+ RX 5700 XT successfully unleashes the full potential of AMD’s RDNA gaming architecture.

The NITRO+ RX 5700 XT comes equipped with lots of modern technology and durable components that ensure a long and stable life. The SAPPHIRE DNA, SAPPHIRE COOL TECH and SAPPHIRE PLUS feature sets are there to ensure the best possible gaming performance. They encompass all of the extra features that make our SAPPHIRE Boards so special and unique with superior cooling to keep your temperatures low and framerates high.

Remarkable Tri-X Cooling

SAPPHIRE brings its custom Tri-X cooling solution to a new level with state-of-the-art radiator design and a trio of new silent dual ball-bearing fans with tunneled fins. The two fans on the sides are slightly larger and run anticlockwise, while the middle one runs clockwise to ensure optimal airflow. All these features should keep your card under approximately 75°C while gaming and run around 13 dBA quieter.


Fan speeds on the NITRO+ RX 5700 XT can be controlled with the SAPPHIRE Intelligent Fan Control feature in order to keep the GPU, memory, and other components in the lowest possible temperature. The fans can be easily removed, cleaned and replaced thanks to an improved Quick Connect system.

Triple BIOS Switch

Unlike previous SAPPHIRE cards, NITRO+ RX 5700 XT features not two, but three BIOS switch settings! Alongside Performance mode and Silent mode, there is a third option that allows users to choose which BIOS they want directly through our latest TriXX Software.


Using the secondary Silent setting will reduce clock targets and allow for potentially quieter operation of the graphics card. In this mode, the card performs at a Boost clock of up to 1925 MHz and a Game clock of up to 1925 MHz.

TriXX Software 7.0

With the launch of NITRO+ RX 5700 XT, we’re introducing a brand-new version of SAPPHIRE TriXX Software, available for download right now. The new version is packed with new and improved features alongside a revamped, cleaner interface.

TriXX Software 7.0 finally brings the TriXX Boost solution to SAPPHIRE users, allowing them to scale resolutions in games between 70% and 100% and then enhance image quality with RADEON Image Sharpening. The effect is higher FPS with no significant decrease in image quality.

The TriXX NITRO Glow utility has been significantly expanded and improved in the NITRO+ RX 5700 XT. The logos at the top of the card and on the backplate have been augmented with ARGB LED effects for a fully customizable appearance. You can switch between different colour modes, including the new Audio Visualisation mode that synchronizes the audio effects from games or movies with the ARGB LEDs.

TriXX Fan Check utility allows you to test the fans and ensure they are performing properly, and with Hardware Monitoring, you are able to monitor various data points of the graphics card, which should help with overclocking or troubleshooting.


For gamers who want to add a little more spark and colour to their systems, we’re introducing SAPPHIRE ARGB Fans specifically designed for the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RX 5700 XT. The set consists of two larger 95x15mm fans and one 87x13.5mm fan, all addressable to deliver 16.8 million-color RGB illumination.

We’re aware that some users prefer consistent LED effects throughout their entire PC system. That’s why the tail of the card includes a 3 pin header, allowing you to synchronise the ARGB LEDs between the graphics card and the motherboard. You can select if the graphics card performs the RGB LED effects independently or if the motherboard acquires control.
